Cosa misuriamo

Cosa significano i numeri per BGMI

Ping in BGMI

Ping is the round trip from your phone to the server and back. In BGMI it decides whether your peek lands before the enemy’s, whether the vehicle you are shooting at is where you see it, and how badly desync hurts during a close finish. General guidance: under 60 ms feels responsive, under 40 ms is ideal. These figures are guidance — we do not measure Krafton’s game servers.

Jitter in BGMI

Jitter is ping varying between samples. Mobile networks jitter more than fixed lines because signal strength, tower load and interference change while you play. You feel it as movement that stutters, hits that register a beat late, or audio that desyncs in a firefight. Keep it under 15 ms (general guidance) for steady fights.

Packet loss in BGMI

Packet loss is data that never arrives and has to be retransmitted. In a battle royale the expensive moments are late-game: a burst of loss during the final circle can rubber-band you out of cover or swallow a burst entirely. Target 0%; anything you can consistently feel mid-fight is worth fixing before your rank depends on it.

Regioni dei server e numeri obiettivo per i giocatori indiani

BGMI has typically offered India-focused server options alongside wider Asia regions — check the server or account settings in your version for the live list, since options change. We do not measure Krafton’s servers; every figure on this page is general guidance, not measured game-server latency.

Segnali da controllare

Perché il ping di BGMI sale all’improvviso

01

Your signal is doing hand gymnastics

On cellular, ping jumps when the phone shifts bands, hands over between towers, or sits at the edge of coverage. Full bars can still hide a congested cell. Run this test once where you play and once near a window — if the numbers swing, the radio link is the variable, not the game.

02

Evening congestion on the shared network

Mobile towers and home broadband both peak between roughly 7 and 11 PM, when everyone streams and updates at once. If your morning test is quick and your evening test crawls at the same spot, that is shared-capacity congestion — plan ranked sessions or heavy downloads around your own measured pattern.

03

Another device is using the same Wi-Fi

A family member’s 4K stream, a console update, a cloud backup — all of it queues in front of your game on the same router. This test’s “under load” row measures your ping while the pipe is busy: high there means someone’s download is costing you fights.

04

Background apps on the phone itself

App updates, hotspot tethering, background uploads and syncing all compete for your uplink — upload-starved connections push game packets behind them. Close background apps and turn off hotspot mode before a session, then retest to confirm jitter drops.

Wi-Fi e BGMI

BGMI runs happily on both Wi-Fi and cellular, but they fail differently: Wi-Fi is usually steadier at home (use 5 GHz near the router) while cellular follows your signal. The right answer is measured, not assumed — run this test on mobile data with Wi-Fi off, then on your home Wi-Fi from your usual spot, and keep the connection with the lower jitter and loss. Playing away from the router on 2.4 GHz through two walls is usually the worst of both.

Passi concreti

Rimedi al lag di BGMI — cinque passi

  1. Passo 1

Test each network you play on

Run this test on cellular (Wi-Fi off) and again on home Wi-Fi, from the spot you actually play. Keep the results — you are choosing your primary connection on evidence, not reputation.

  2. Passo 2

    Fix your radio position

On cellular: move where signal is strong (near a window if indoor coverage is weak) and avoid playing with the phone tucked against your body. On Wi-Fi: stay on 5 GHz, close to the router. Retest after moving — small position changes often beat any setting.

  3. Passo 3

    Lock the network mode

If your phone flaps between 4G and 5G or between bands, set the preferred network type explicitly (5G where coverage is real, 4G where it is not) so it stops hunting mid-match. Constant reselection shows up as periodic ping spikes.

  4. Passo 4

    Silence background traffic

Pause app auto-updates, cloud photo backups and hotspot sharing before playing. On Wi-Fi, ask others in the house to hold big downloads — or enable QoS on the router so game traffic stays first in line.

  5. Passo 5

    Compare, then escalate

If a strong-signal, idle test still shows ping above 100 ms or loss above 1%, that is worth a ticket to your carrier or ISP with the numbers, time and location attached. Dated before/after results from this tool make the case concrete.

VPN e latenza di BGMI

VPNs rarely help mobile gaming: your traffic detours through extra servers, which usually adds latency and jitter on top of an already variable radio link. In narrow cases — poor routing from your carrier to your usual server region, or a region-locked lobby you have a legitimate reason to join — a VPN can improve things. Measure it honestly: run this test with and without the VPN and keep the steadier numbers. Expect battery use and extra heat either way.

Frame rate vs connessione

Rete adatta al gioco online

Gli FPS reali dipendono dall’hardware del tuo dispositivo

Two different symptoms get confused constantly on mobile. Frame drops — stutter, freezes, the game itself chugging — come from your device: chipset, thermals, graphics settings, background load. Lag or rubber-banding comes from the network: ping, jitter, packet loss, measured here. BGMI’s 60/90/120 fps options are hardware features; no internet plan unlocks them, and a perfect connection cannot stop a phone from thermal-throttling. Fix frames on the device, fix lag on the network.

FAQ

Ping di BGMI — domande frequenti

What ping do I need for BGMI?

General guidance only — we do not measure BGMI’s servers: under 60 ms feels responsive, under 40 ms is ideal for close fights, and above 120 ms you will notice desync. Jitter under 15 ms and 0% loss matter as much as the average, especially in the final circle.

Why is BGMI lagging when my speed test looks fine?

Because average speed is not the problem — lag in BGMI comes from ping, jitter and packet loss, which move independently of download speed. Run this test and look at those three rows. If they are clean while the game still lags, the issue may be the game’s server choice or load at that hour; try the other network you have (Wi-Fi vs data) and compare.

Should I play BGMI on Wi-Fi or mobile data?

Whichever measures steadier where you play — use this test on both. Home Wi-Fi on 5 GHz usually gives the lowest jitter; good cellular wins when signal is strong and Wi-Fi is distant or crowded. Keep both results and recheck at your usual playing hour.

Why does BGMI get laggy at night?

Peak-hour congestion: from about 7–11 PM, shared mobile and broadband capacity fills with streams and downloads. Test at 10 AM and at 9 PM with this tool — if evenings collapse at the same spot, it is network load, not your phone. Shift heavy downloads off-peak and play on whichever connection measures better in the evening.

Are FPS drops the same as lag in BGMI?

No. FPS drops are your device — chipset, thermals, graphics settings — the game rendering slowly. Lag is the network — ping, jitter, loss — your actions reaching the server slowly. This test measures the network side only; if frames stutter while these numbers are clean, lower graphics settings and manage device heat instead.
